Well, what a weekend this music video has been having.
Literally, every social media celebrity has tweeted this video, so if you’ve not
seen it… You must be living under a rock. Lil Dicky is the Weird Al Yankovic of
our generation, from his last album “Professional Rapper” which had classics
like “Pillowtalking, Molly and $ave Dat Money” comes the new song by Lil Dicky
featuring Chris Brown!
Lil Dicky isn’t the traditional rapper, he doesn’t have the
look of a top tier rapper with jewels hanging off him, girls all over him and a
thug image and Lil Dicky has always played on this expertly. The video opens
with Lil dicky being at a restaurant having a fan walk up to him stating how cool
he is, but at the same time shitting on him by his appearance. And then sees a
Chris Brown Video and says how cool it would be to be somebody like Chris for
once, and bang, the switch occurs.
Like all Lil Dicky songs, although the song might come off
as funny and hilarious, Lil Dicky always has a deeper meaning to his songs.
When he switches bodies with Chris Brown, Lil Dicky only sees the positives of
being Chris Brown, and focuses on how he can get girls, his DMs on social media
and how good he can dance, as well as mentioning how great his dick is looking
now.
However, when Chris Brown turns into Lil Dicky he notices
the difference to how people treat him, he is no longer being judged for his
past, old people approach him and he is more free to do what he likes.
Overall the song ends with Chris Brown and Lil Dicky
realising they love themselves and to be grateful for what you have. As well as
cameos from Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled and Kendall Jenner. This song is a song that
will be played on the radio without a doubt, and the views will just keep raising.
Lil Dicky will release a new album this year, so make sure you keep an eye on
him!
